Polycom® UC Network Monitoring Service

Real-time network performance management through a simple cloud based service

Achieving successful service levels of business-critical video conferencing technology depends on the availability and performance of the network through which video is delivered. To help our customers understand the performance of their networks, Polycom is introducing the Polycom® UC Network Monitoring service.
We offer two options SMB and Enterprise:

  • The SMB option includes the cloud application, software services subscription, and an appliance which will remote monitor 1-10 locations.
  • The Enterprise option includes the cloud application, software service subscription and an appliance will remote monitor 1-40 locations.

These options include the PathView Cloud™ application, and AppView Voice and Video software from AppNetaTM . The appliance is a non- invasive device which connects to the customer's network, a plug-in device for SMBs, and a rack-mountable appliance for Enterprises.

The service is available in one or three-year subscriptions and has upgrade options for additional sites.
This service is vendor- and equipment-agnostic and will deliver:

  • Active bandwidth monitoring and end-to-end QoS verification
  • End- to-end performance to any IP address over LANs, WANs, VPNs, or the Internet
  • Advanced diagnostics that identify dozens of network faults and configuration issues
  • Active application performance monitoring
  • The ability to pre-assess networks using live VoIP and video traffic without investing in or deploying any VoIP or video hardware
  • The ability to stress-test networks over days or weeks to identify issues caused by periodic or infrequent activities
  • The ability to generate traffic matching the exact port, protocol and behavior of major VoIP and Video codecs

Complementing the SMB and Enterprise subscription options, customers who need professional service should consider the following two Remote Consultancy service together with the subscription options:

  • Level One Remote Consultancy – The Polycom® UC Network Monitoring Service One Day Remote Consultancy provides our customer with one day remote support or consultation for the installation of the Polycom® Network Monitoring Service.
  • Level Two Remote Consultancy – The Polycom® UC Network Monitoring Service Six Day Remote Consultancy Over 12-month Period, provides our customer with six days of remote services for installation support, consultation and evaluation of reports and results of the Polycom UC Network Monitoring Service.
